- Dial "*8940#" on your First Bank registered phone number and select "sign-up for 894 banking" from the available options.
- You will see a list of debit cards linked to your account. Choose the card you want to use for the activation, and input the card 4-digits PIN.
- After that, you will taken to another prompt where you can create your 5-digits PIN for USSD transaction. Now, create a new 5-digit PIN and re-enter the new PIN to confirm and complete the activation.
Once the PIN is successfully activated, you can then begin to use it to securely perform various transactions via USSD, such as transferring funds, checking balances, and purchasing airtime.
For example, to transfer money from your First Bank account to another bank account, dial *894*Amount*Account Number#, select the beneficiary bank, confirm the details, and enter the 5-digit PIN to authorize the transaction.
However, if you ever need to reset or change your USSD PIN, simply dial *8940# again on the registered phone number, select "Reset PIN" from the list of available options, and follow the prompts to reset your 5-digit PIN successfully.
