But as scammers began to use it to deceived agents into paying with the hope that he/she received money, the feature was cancelled and removed from the app. What am I saying in essence? Well, the request money feature was on OPAY between 2018 and maybe late 2022. However, the feature was amazing. It allows individual OPay users to send money request message to another OPay users, promoting them to confirm the request for the requested amount to be transferred to the recipient. The request receipt looks exactly like transfer receipt. The only difference you could find was the words written in them. This makes it so deceiving especially for agent who just checked amounts on receipt without read the full details of the receipt.
