Effective Way To Upload Video on YouTube Studio App

Here's the easy step-by-step guides to upload video through the YouTube Studio App on phone.
YouTube Studio App

YouTube Studio Mobile is an app created by YouTube that helps content creators manage their YouTube channels on the go. It’s essentially the mobile version of YouTube Studio, the web-based dashboard used by YouTubers to handle channel analytics, video performance, and creator tools.

In this video, I'm going to walk you through the easy step by step guide to upload a video through the YouTube Studio Mobile app effectively.

The essence of the YouTube Studio app is control and connection. It gives creators the ability to manage, analyze, and grow their channels anytime, anywhere.

While the YouTube Studio Mobile app is powerful for on-the-go management, it’s still not as complete as the desktop version. The mobile app focuses on essentials, while the web version offers deeper analytics, advanced customization, and more control.

Notwithstanding, you can still upload video through the YouTube Studio app.

The effective way to do that is what I'm going to walk you through in this video. So, make sure you appreciate this tutorial article by sharing.

Step one: Rename Your Video

After creating your video, rename the video file on your phone file manager. To do that, open the file manager, click on video, click-hold the video you want to rename to mark it. Now, click on the three dots at the top right corner of your screen and tap rename.

Now, give it a name that matches your video keywords. For example, if you're titling your video “How to create a YouTube Channel” then, you can rename the video file “YouTube Channel Creation”. Mind you, leave the video extension to .MP4.

Step two: Open YouTube Studio App and upload your video.

Use the plus icon to upload on the YT Studio App

To upload on the YouTube Studio app, tap on the plus icon at the top-right corner of the app. Select your video and wait for it to load. Title your video, add description, and select a playlist. Choose a thumbnail as well if you have one. Next, click on Upload.

Immediately the video starts to upload, tap on it again and tap on the pencil icon at the top to edit it. Now, the “add tags” and “category” option will be available. Before the video finishes uploading, make sure you add all your tags and choose a category that best fits the video.

You should add tags and a category to your YouTube video because they help YouTube understand what your video is about, making it easier for the platform to recommend it to the right audience. Tags add extra context through keywords, while the category helps group your video with similar content, improving its chances of showing up in search results and related videos.

Many YouTubers don't know these features can be used on the YouTube Studio app. In short, they both boost your video’s visibility and discoverability on YouTube. Did you get value from this tutorial article? Please share if you do and drop your opinions in the comments section below.
