Stripe now supports tax automation in 19 African countries

Stripe, the global payments technology firm, now supports 19 African countries for its tax automation service that helps businesses manage their tax obligations automatically.

The Stripe tax automation service simplifies global tax compliance for businesses, reduces errors and penalties, automates tax calculations, collections, and filings across many countries.

Now, the company is supporting 19 African countries, aiding businesses in those regions. The system now makes it easier for businesses to comply with local tax laws.

Countries in Africa Stripe tax automation now support includes Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco and South Africa, with some available for remote sellers only.

The full list of supported African countries, as confirmed by Stripe’s official documentation, is as follows, with some available for remote sellers only (marked with *):

Despite this expansion, Stripe operation is still limited. To access the full suite of Stripe tools in Africa, you will need to use Stripe Atlas--a service that allows African businesses and entrepreneurs to register a U.S.-based company, and open a U.S. bank account.
